SANTA ROSA, Calif., June 19, 2023 — The E8717A Lidar Target Simulator (LTS) from Keysight Technologies Inc. is a compact, automated benchtop solution that allows automakers and sensor manufacturers to test and validate autonomous vehicle lidar sensors.

The system addresses the challenges of testing lidar sensors by simulating test targets at defined distances and reflectivity levels, saving test floor space and providing insightful analytics for sensor design and performance improvement. It simulates target distances from 3 to 300 m and surface reflectivity from 10% to 94%. It is fully automated and powered by Keysight PathWave Test Executive for Manufacturing, offering accelerated testing and throughput for volume production.
