IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 9, 2015 — Oriel Instruments OPSNew power supplies from Oriel Instruments are designed to operate DC arc lamps and quartz tungsten halogen (QTH) lamps.

OPS-A and OPS-Q series offer an integrated light-intensity controller and a shutter controller for all through-the-lens (TTL) shutters and timer functions. They are designed to provide stable lamp performance with very low ripple in demanding applications.

Lamps using the power sources can be operated in either constant current or constant power mode and used in applications such as radiometric measurements, where a stable output is required for accurate data acquisition.

A large LCD display with horizontal and vertical menu buttons provides an intuitive user interface for simple setup and operations. USB and RS232 interfaces are provided for optional computer control. The OPS series interfaces with Oriel lamp housings and solar simulators.
