MAPLE GROVE, Minn., June 27, 2014 — The new family of LineScan laser line sensors from Zeiss Industrial Metrology is suited for parts inspection and reverse engineering.

LineScan lasers scan work pieces at rates of up 700,000 points/second, with a measurement precision figure as low as 12 µm, and a resolution of 1280 points/line. The new sensors utilize a 658-nm-wavelength visible red light source.

Applications include inspection of car bodies, tools for molds, construction and design tools, as well as 3-D computer modeling.
