STAUFEN, Germany, Nov. 18, 2015 — Linear StagesOwis GmbH has updated its LIMES series of linear stages with the LIMES 84N and 84N-IMS models.

The motorized positioners are compact and feature almost complete motor encapsulation so the damper and encoder cannot be damaged. A new mounting grid enables installation without removal of the cover.

Both models are available in different travel ranges up to 270 mm, with two-phase step motor or DC servo motor with encoder, and feature a construction height of 38 mm for use where space is limited. The 84N-IMS allows for integration of a high-resolution imaging system.

The stages are designed for use in R&D where high precision is required, as well as industrial applications that require continuous operation.
