Products, L-505, linear stages, Physik Instrumente, positioning, motion, AmericasThe L-505 series of linear stages from Physik Instrumente LP is designed for precision motion, alignment, and positioning applications where space is limited.

The devices are available with integrated linear encoders providing 0.05- and 0.005- µm resolution, respectively. Their design allows for compact multiaxis assemblies at affordable prices. Many motor and drive variations are available, from fast, direct-current servo motors with linear encoders and low-friction ball-screws to simple open-loop stepper motors.

A short, low-profile version with a folded drive train and a longer, narrow in-line version are available. Both come in two travel ranges of ½ and 1 in. XY and XYZ combinations.
