VAN NUYS, Calif., Aug. 6, 2021 — Linear Voice Coil StageThe VCDS-051-032-01-B1-30 linear voice coil stage from Moticont features high speed, high acceleration/deceleration, zero backlash, smooth motion, precise positioning of 30 μm, high reliability, and low cost.

The noncommutated stage is cleanroom friendly, quiet, and available off the shelf. It features a moving mass of 486 g at 17.1 oz with a 0.97-in. travel length, a continuous force rating of 6.3 lbs and a peak force of 20.0 lbs at a 10% duty cycle.

Applications include positioning, assembly, laser cutting, welding and drilling, clamping, medical diagnostics and testing, and wafer handling. It features an optical quadrature encoder, home switch, and ball bearing linear guides. Easily accessible countersunk holes in the base allow for flexible and easy integration into new and existing applications.
