BioTek Instruments Inc. has released its Liquid Handling Control software for use with its liquid handlers, including the ELx405 microplate washer and the MicroFlo select dispenser. It provides full computer control when programming assay-specific protocol requirements in a Microsoft Windows environment. StepWise protocol creation enables an unlimited number of methods to be programmed and run from a computer or directly from the instrument’s keypad. Parameters can be printed for Good Laboratory Practices compliance. Automatic protocol validation protects against errors. The Ultrasonic Advantage tool provides unattended washer manifold maintenance. The software can control multiple instruments in parallel, as well as support the company’s Bio-Stack microplate stacker.
