The Cell Voyager (CV 1000) live-cell confocal imager from Yokogawa is a compact benchtop spinning disk system that offers high precision and ease of use. Its microlens-enhanced dual Nipkow disk scanning technology reduces phototoxicity and photobleaching, rendering it suitable for use in observing delicate biological processes in cells, tissues and organisms. The built-in stable environmental control, high-precision X-Y control and continuous focus capabilities enable multipoint cell monitoring over extended periods. The imager features 25- and 50-μm pinhole sizes, yielding high-resolution confocality at high and low magnifications. It performs high-throughput observation of long- and short-term cellular processes in a fully automated fashion. The system enables darkroom-free, high-precision, long-term multiposition 3-D imaging within a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment.
