The BeamSquared^® beam profiler is a compact, fully automated tool for measuring the propagation characteristics of CW and pulsed laser systems from UV to XNIR wavelengths. Its longer optical train and patented Ultracal™ calibration make BeamSquared the most accurate product on the market and it is ISO 11146 compliant. Its operational robustness and reliability allow for continuous use in applications in industry, science, research, and development.

The new release of BeamSquared features long focal length lenses of 750 mm and 1000 mm which, along with BeamSquared’s long 800 mm optical path and automatic attenuation, deliver high accuracy ISO 11146 compliant M2 measurements for longer waist length lasers up to 20 m. These long focal lenses provide support for 750 mm: UV, VIS, NIR, and XNIR, and 1000 mm: UV and VIS.

The new BeamSquared beam profiler is fast, able to report M2 in under a minute. Its optical train uses a fixed position lens with movable mirrors and camera. The mirrors that direct the focused beam into the camera are moved to precise locations, translating the beam through the near field, the waist, and the far field regions. All these measurements and translations, as well as incremental beam attenuation, are automatically controlled by the BeamSquared software.

BeamSquared^® is calibrated and designed to meet the demands of the laser industry. It is robust and can be used three shifts a day, seven days a week. For each lens, configurable data is stored and embedded into the lens holder which is uploaded automatically by the BeamSquared^® system when the lends cartridge is inserted into system. Users can choose between several measurement configurations: Automated Stepping, Automated ISO Setup, Four Cuts, or Step Table. Both Horizontal and Vertical mounting are available to optimize bench space.
