The S24 family of vision sensors has been unveiled by Vision Control. The sensors enable inspection of up to 20 parts per second, are supplied in a compact and robust housing, and comprise a DSP-based machine vision unit, a matched and preset lens and a fine-tuned LED ringlight. Image acquisition is based on a CCD chip that can resolve detail down to 0.05 mm. The full-frame shutter automatically adjusts to the ambient lighting, and a variety of fields of view, as well as lighting from a variety of colors, facilitate adaptation to different conditions. Inspection results can be sent to the upstream control units via RS-232 or Ethernet interfaces.
