The Micromanipulator Co. and Polytec Inc. have unveiled a consolidated MEMS workstation for proof-of-design and prototype testing. The system can provide MEMS assembly, micromotion analysis, repair, packaging and electronic testing for applications in the optical, RF/wireless, aerospace, automotive, chemical, biomedical, commercial and telecommunications markets. The station can be set up for manual or semiautomatic measurements in atmospheric or vacuum environments. It features a broad range of tools to provide power and electrical analysis, to inject liquids and gases, to inject and collect light, to physically stimulate MEMS devices, and to grip, position and remove material.
