EUGENE, Ore., Aug. 13, 2013 — Applied Scientific Instrumentation’s MIC-2500 manual spring-loaded X-Y stage features micrometer positioners that push under tension for precise and repeatable positioning.

The Mitutoyo micrometer heads have a range of 0 to 25 mm with an accuracy of ±3 µm and a spindle pitch of 0.5 mm. They offer a hard-chrome-plated scale surface and are available in graduations of 0.01 mm, 0.001 mm, 0.001 in. or 0.0001 in.

The stage has low drift, with variations in temperature: drift in X-axis per degree change Celsius is 0.5 µm; drift in Y-axis per degree change Celsius is 0.25 µm.
