Holoeye.jpgThe ASI 5200 and ASI 6200 series liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplays have been introduced by Holoeye Systems Inc. Both chip sets include digital micro LCDs with a 55-in. active area backplane diagonal. The 1280 × 768-pixel resolution 5200 is powered by the ASI5120 driver integrated circuit. The 6200 models, with true high-definition resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, are powered by the ASI6120 integrated circuit. Both devices use Aurora Systems’ all-digital-drive technology. Designs are available for three-panel projection as well as for single-panel color field sequential systems.
