HoribaJobinYvon_Spectrocube.jpgHoriba Jobin Yvon has introduced two versions of its miniature spectrometer for OEM applications, the Spectro3. The Spectro3-CCD has a wavelength range of 350 to 900 nm, a signal-to-noise ratio of 300:1 and 128 pixels that are 55.5 × 63.5 μm. The Spectro3-PDA has a 380- to 760-nm wavelength range, a 2500:1 signal-to-noise ratio and a choice of 128 or 256 pixels. Both models feature optical resolution of <5 nm, a CMOS linear sensor array detector and a USB computer interface. Designed around the CP20 spectrograph, the 50-mm3 module is particularly suited for handheld instruments where size and weight are critical. It comes with software that includes basic functions for dark, reference and absorbance.
