The CMD-LN-20 compact modulator driver from Photline Technologies is suitable for medium-, long- or ultralong-haul transmission systems operating in the C- and L-bands with FEC and a 12.5-Gb/s data rate. The device features bandwidth of >12 GHz, and an X-cut and low-voltage LiNbO3 modulator, and facilitates the integration of a 10-Gb/s modulator stage in transponders and systems. The GaAs driver offers high gain over a wide bandwidth. The modulator crystal provides zero-chirp, long-term bias voltage stability and temperature nondependence
