Advanced Optical Technology Ltd. has added master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) systems to its Ace range of short-pulse, high-repetition-rate Nd:YVO4 solid-state lasers. The oscillators use proprietary electro-optic Q-switching and operate at rates from 0 to 50 Hz. They feature a high-gain Nd:YVO4 amplifier in the laser head and average power to >1 W. Devices are available with pulses from approximately 800 ps to 2.5 ns, pulse energy up to 40 µJ and average power of 600 mW.
