A motion control module for use with Measurement Studio software is available from National Instruments. The module offers interactive task windows for point-and-click programming of a series of moves including axes, distance and velocity. It executes the program and manages buffers for contour moves, breakpoints and high-speed captures. Also included is a window for 2- and 3-D previewing of the configured motion tasks. The module integrates the company's vision, data acquisition and instrument control software and hardware into one development environment, which enables users to link commands for image acquisition to events in a motion sequence.
