MΩ Thin-Film Resistors

OnChip Devices has launched silicon-based thin-film components with a resistance range of 5 to 150 MΩ. The XTM resistor family is produced using proprietary processes and exhibits good stability over the life of the products. The company says that the thin-film process yields a resistance element that is less noisy and more stable over extreme temperatures when compared with thick-film components. Stable resistors are used in medical, instrumentation, military, aerospace and consumer electronics applications. Other uses for the precision chip resistors include low signal detection, photodiode signal amplification, photomultipliers, ionization detection and other amplification circuits. The resistors measure 1117.6 x 1371.6 µm, with typical thickness of 254 µm. The top bond pads measure 330.2 x 330.2 and are suitable for wire-bonding.
