SAN DIMAS, Calif., Dec. 12, 2011 — For photometric analysis of microscopic samples in fields including biology, geology and cytophotometry, Craic Technologies Inc. has launched the MP-2 microscope photometer.

The rugged all-solid-state system can measure emitted light and the reflectance, transmittance and fluorescence photometric values from microscopic sample areas rapidly and accurately.

With its advanced design, the microscope photometer includes a sensitive detector with an effective operating range from the ultraviolet to the visible and into the near-infrared region. It includes a digital imaging system to simultaneously image the sample and the measurement aperture.

Run by software that controls every aspect of the instrument from integration times to the bandwidth to be measured, the flexible system offers a number of upgrade paths that include full-range spectroscopy, thermoelectric cooling to increase long-term stability, ultrahigh-resolution imaging, advanced spectral analysis, NIST-traceable standards and full automation.
