MTi MEMS Motion Trackers
Xsens Technologies BVRequest Info
ENSCHEDE, Netherlands, Aug. 30, 2012 &$8212; Xsens has launched an MTi product for industrial applications including antenna/camera stabilization and unmanned system control. This fourth-generation product line of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)-based motion trackers now matches the accuracy and robustness requirements of many applications that previously depended on fiber optic gyroscope-based solutions.
The new portfolio includes seven models offering 3-D orientation, position, velocity and dynamic data, and a variety of interface options.
The MTi-10 series improves orientation accuracy while under vibration with at least a factor of 50. The bandwidth of the accelerometers and gyroscopes has been increased by a factor of 15. Available products are the MTi-10 IMU (inertial measurement unit), the MTi-20 VRU (vertical reference unit) and the MTi-30 AHRS (attitude and heading reference system). <br.
The MTi 100-series incorporates state-of-the-art vibration-rejecting gyroscopes and a multicore processing unit running a new embedded sensor fusion core that goes beyond standard Kalman filter-based solutions. Available as MTi-100 IMU, MTi-200 VRU and MTi-300 AHRS, it is a drop-in alternative to the MTi 10-series when extra accuracy is required. The MTi-G-700 GPS/INS is the successor to the MTi-G. The MTi-100 series can serve as a replacement unit for high-grade IMUs. </br.
