StellarNet Inc. has released the mini-EPP3000, a portable multibeam spectrometer that uses a concave holographic, aberration-corrected flat-field grating with no mirrors. A digital signal processor and 16-bit A/D use correlated double sampling to produce a signal-to-noise ratio of 20,000:1. The company says the device provides high sensitivity with low stray light for UV/VIS or VIS/NIR spectroscopy applications. The unit also can be configured and calibrated as an eight-channel spectroradiometer.
