The MP1776A from Anritsu Co. is a multichannel error detector that operates at 12.5 Gb/s per channel. It allows accurate measurements to be taken in systems that transmit data at 40 Gb/s and higher. The detector operates over the 100-MHz to 12.5-GHz frequency range and can support measurements with a total bit rate up to 50 Gb/s. Measuring 426 x 266 x 584 mm and weighing less than 50 kg, the device operates in three measurement modes -- independent, two-channel combined and four-channel combined -- and supports both GPIB and RS-232C interfaces.
