HOOD RIVER, Ore., Dec. 4, 2018 — The Ventus 275 from Sierra-Olympic Technologies Inc. is a MWIR thermal camera core designed for OEM integrators of surveillance system enclosures and other imaging gimbals.

The imaging engine features a f/5.5, 19- to 275-mm continuous zoom optic in a form factor of 640 × 512 × 15 µm. The Ventus 275 features include an indium antimonide focal plane array and a tuned athermalized and parfocal zoom lens with a 28.4° to 2° horizontal field of view. The camera also features a shutter-based, nonuniformity correction and an environmentally sealed front lens element.

The image processing engine provides advanced image enhancements including electronic image stabilization, automatic/manual gain control, adaptive contrast control, and optional target tracking/detection.
