OBERSULM, Germany, April 20, 2017 — The GigE uEye CP machine vision camera from IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is the latest generation of its compact Gigabit Ethernet machine vision imaging systems.

Enhanced features include CMOS sensors from Sony, ON Semiconductor, e2v and CMOSIS, as well as full GigE speed, single-cable operation up to a length of 100 m via Power-over-Ethernet and screw-on connectors. Integrated 120-MB image memory decouples image acquisition from image transfer, which is ideal in multi-camera applications, with internal camera functions of pixel preprocessing, lookup tables or gamma that significantly reduce host PC burden.

The series currently includes models with 0.5 to 6.4 MP resolution and with monochrome or color sensors. The magnesium housing is redesigned to be compact, light and robust.
