The Phantom S991 machine vision cameraThe Phantom S991 machine vision camera from Vision Research Inc. employs CoaXPress-over-Fiber technology to deliver up to 9 GP/s throughout for 900 fps at full resolution.

Its 9-MP sensor has 12-bit imaging and provides both rolling and global shutters to meet a variety of application needs. Its 6.75-μm pixel provides high light sensitivity with a daylight ISO rating of 1,600 for monochrome and 400 for color in global shutter. The Phantom S991 requires two fiber cables, a reduction over its predecessor. The camera also provides an 8-bit output option to produce higher frame rates in larger resolutions and reduce data throughput.
