Machine Vision SoftwareMVTec Software GmbH has announced the Merlic 2, an all-in-one solution for building machine vision applications without programming.

The Merlic Engine interface enables users to creative applications using an intuitive backend and directly load, paramtetrize and execute them within a C++ or C# framework. An ActiveX control element displays a user interface that was previously created with the designer in the development environment, allowing changes and impact to be directly checked.

A new widget makes it possible to train machine vision applications in the system's front end, allowing the system to quickly learn new objects on the basis of sample images. Regions of interest are defined with a few clicks.
