Matrix Vision GmbH has released Version 2.2 of its mvIMPACT Configuration Studio (mvIMPACT-CS) machine vision software.
With the new HALCON script tool, it is now possible to load and execute HALCON scripts in mvIMPACT-CS. The distance measurement between two lines has been optimized. The click point for selecting the second line serves as a reference point for the measurement, whereby the measurement location is clearly defined, even when the lines are not exactly parallel. The intersection point of two lines can be used as the starting point for distance measurement. When used as starting points, the edges of the image are available to be used for X and Y measurements.
The filter image tool makes it possible to optimize the image quality under suboptimal lighting conditions. For example, the blob check tool allows the user to detect objects in the image, count them, and then check the shape and other properties of those objects.
