MVTec Software GmbH has announced the availability of its Halcon machine vision software embedded for DragonBoard using the board’s native 64-bit instruction set.

A quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processor speeds up vision algorithms by as much as 40 percent. Halcon Embedded for DragonBoard enables high-performance machine vision applications to take full advantage of 64-bit ARMv8 architecture.

Due to its compact dimensions and low energy consumption, DragonBoard is used in embedded systems for cell phones and all smart devices such as cameras, handhelds, personal computers and logistics processes.
