Newport extends its offerings of Magnetic 1-in. Optical Pedestals with six new heights covering 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) to 4 in. (101.6 mm). The strong 5-lb magnet allows experimenters to securely position and actually align optical mounts prior to clamping them down. Not only does this reduce the potential for tip-over damaging, it also greatly increases the speed and efficiency with which an experiment can be set up. All are compatible with standard 1-in. clamping forks.
