Manual ActuatorSiskiyou Corp. has announced the 4-100EAS manual actuator, enabling OEMs to construct smaller, higher-precision optical mounts and positioners.

The device consists of a hexagonal-head screw with 100 threads per inch contained within a brass mounting body. The threads are precision rolled, yielding greater consistency, uniformity and accuracy, for smooth adjustment, greater thread engagement and high load capacity.

The assembly requires a 3/16-in. mounting hole and offers position resolution of 254 μm per revolution. Off-the-shelf versions are available with travel lengths of 0.125 and 0.25 in., with custom travel lengths available. A vacuum-compatible version, fabricated entirely from aluminum, is also available.
