Dymax_Fluorescing-Needle.jpgAvailable from Dymax Corp., the MD 1162-M medical device adhesive is a fluorescing light-curing substance for bonding needles, syringes and other stainless steel cannulas. It has low viscosity for quick, air-free dispensing into needle hubs, and it bonds a stainless steel cannula to polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, glass and polypropylene hubs. It cures upon exposure to UV/VIS light in fractions of a second when exposed to high-intensity UV light, making it a suitable adhesive for high-volume automated syringe assembly. For in-line inspection, it fluoresces blue under low-intensity black light. It also is available with Ultra-Red fluorescing technology.
