O’FALLON, Mo., Dec. 27, 2011 — The Mentad fiber laser from RPMC Lasers Inc. is now available at 1 μm and produces pulse energies up to 50 μJ, with pulse widths from 500 ps to 1.25 μs and repetition rates from 5 kHz to 2 MHz. It measures 4.25 × 2.7 × 0.8 in.

It also is available in a 1.5-μm model that produces up to 100 μJ of pulse energy with the same repetition rate and pulse width specs.

Typical applications include light detection and ranging, rangefinding, telemetry, target identification, 3-D and topography scanning, and weather and pollutant detection.
