HOUSTON, Aug. 5, 2020 — Methane Leak DetectorThe RMLD-CS Remote Methane Leak Detector from Heath Consultants Inc. is a remote laser device that allows users to identify leaking emissions from distribution and transmission pipeline networks.

Designed to satisfy increasing restrictions on air quality controls, the detector allows first responders to quickly scan an area for suspected leaks or emissions from up to 100 ft away. The device eliminates a separate receiver and transceiver, combining them into one ergonomic, handheld instrument that is lightweight, portable, and rugged.

The instrument is ideal for difficult to reach areas such as busy roadways, yards with dogs, fenced-in areas, compressor stations, offshore platforms, plant/industrial inspections, gas processing plants, gas gathering, drilling sites, landfills, difficult terrains and more. It operates under a variety of field conditions including a wide temperature range, light rain, and fog.
