LAKE MARY, Fla., Nov. 12, 2014 — A full-featured portable software for basic geometric measurements, CAM2 SmartInspect 1.2 metrology software from Faro works in conjuction with laser trackers and measuring arms.

Avoiding the complexity of CAD-based software, CAM2 SmartInspect has been optimized to run on all Windows-based Touch PCs or Touchpads.

A Move Device function streamlines the inspection of large parts when frequent repositioning is needed. Users can move the device and measure their part from different positions. By enabling quick identification of correct target correspondence, time requirements to relocate the arm or tracker is reduced, along with the potential for error.
