Micro-Joule Fiber LaserThe FemtoFiber vario 1030 from TOPTICA Photonics AG is a micro-joule fiber laser suited for micromachining, material processing, and the life sciences.

With a center wavelength of 1030 nm, the laser offers 2 W of output power at a repetition rate of up to 1 MHz and a pulse duration of <300 fs. The special features of this laser include variable pulse duration via group delay dispersion control, adjustable repetition rate down to pulse-on-demand, and its high temporal and spatial beam quality.

Originally developed for ophthalmic applications, other uses range from micromachining and material processing to life science applications. Its robust, compact, passively cooled design and detachable laser head allow operation for OEM integration and industry.
