The Artec Micro 3D scanner from Exact Metrology Inc. is an automated, metrology-grade desktop 3D scanner for the inspection and reverse engineering of tiny mechanical parts.
The Artec Micro is equipped with twin cameras and blue LED lights that are synchronized with the scanner’s dual axis rotation system, creating an accurate digital copy using minimal frames. The fully automated industrial scanner creates a high-resolution color 3D scan that offers an extremely high point accuracy of up to 10 μm. A resolution of .029 mm and a 6.4-MP camera allows for the capture of texture data.
Applications include the scanning of engine valves, connectors, and other small objects for the automotive, preservation, dental, and medical industries, among others.
