Biochrom.jpgZenyth 200, a compact high-performance scanning microscope reader from Biochrom Ltd., has a built-in UV/VIS spectrophotometer. Designed for use in life sciences laboratories, it can handle formats from cell-culture (6 to 48) to well (96 to 384) plates. Its advanced optics offer endpoint, kinetic, multichromatic, spectral and position scanning from 190 to 1000 nm, and the temperature can be controlled for kinetic studies. It is available in stand-alone and PC-controlled models. The stand-alone version has built-in stored routines for nucleic acid quantitation and characterization. The PC model can be upgraded to ADAP Prizma, which provides both an advanced Elisa module and stored routines for cuvette assays, including protein, nucleic acid and oligo concentration.
