Microscope Optical Spectrometer (MicOS)
HORIBA ScientificRequest Info
EDISON, N.J., Sept. 1, 2013 — Horiba Scientific’s MicOS, a microspectrometer that combines a microscope head coupled to a three-gratings imaging spectrometer and a research-grade scientific camera, is controlled by proprietary LabSpec software.
The device is compatible over a spectral range covering the UV, VIS and NIR (200 to 1600 nm), allowing the characterization of materials such as semiconductor and biological samples.
The excitation source is fiber-coupled to the microscope head, which includes an embedded digital imaging camera for direct viewing of a sample for measurement. Users can configure the spectrometer either as a down-looking device for mapping of samples, or as a side-looking device for samples mounted inside an upright cryostat for temperature-controlled measurements.
The system is suitable for photoluminescence, electroluminescence and photoreflectance measurements at the microscopic level.
