Microscopy Stand
Teledyne FLIR
MEER, Belgium, May 21, 2013 — Flir Systems’ microscopy stand is a complete solution for thermal evaluation of small objects such as electronic and photovoltaic components.
Comprising a proprietary SC5000 series research-grade thermal imaging camera with a 3× or 5× microscopic lens and an X-Y-Z stage, the stand measures temperatures on targets as small as 3 μm². The camera’s cooled indium antimonide large-focal-plane array detector delivers low noise-equivalent temperature difference (NETD).
The camera series offers a 320 × 256-pixel or 640 × 512-pixel format that delivers, respectively, a 380- or 100-Hz frame rate while maintaining suitable linearity and sensitivity figures. A smart external triggering feature allows synchronization of image capture to the most fleeting of events. The plug-and-play series uses either GigE or CamLink interfaces to transmit both commands and full-dynamic-range digital video.
