Quantum cascade lasers can be troubled by feedback. InnPho’s optical isolators prevent reflections (feedback) from returning back into the laser. Now in production are wavelength-tunable mid-IR optical isolators operating at center wavelengths of 4.5 µm, 8 µm and 10.6 µm. Typical transmission of ~90% and isolation of 500:1 to 1000:1.
