Quantum Composers MIR LasersNew mid-infrared lasers from Quantum Composers Inc., in partnership with Bridger Photonics Inc., feature a single-longitudinal-mode resonator coupled to a stable optical parametric oscillator (SOPO).

The lasers deliver >1-mJ, <10-ns pulses with factory-selectable IR wavelengths from 1.5 to 4 μm and offer software-selectable output-pulse energies. The diode-pumped, single-mode operation enables very low pulse-to-pulse fluctuation with good beam pointing stability, and typical shot-to-shot energy fluctuation is less than 0.5 percent root mean square of the mean pulse energy.

Designed for integration into laboratory experiments and for OEM installation, applications include lidar, particle imaging velocimetry, medical, ablation and mass spectroscopy.
