Resolve Optics has unveiled the ultracompact Z10 HD, a 10× C-mount mini zoom lens for small-profile cameras for applications including broadcast TV, space-restricted machine vision and CCTV monitoring.

The lens measures 45 mm square and 100 mm long (2/3-in. version) and weighs <500 g. It offers low-dispersion glass and can focus upon objects as close as 450 mm.

Its floating-cell technology allows smaller motors to drive the movements. An aperture of f/1.8 can be maintained throughout 80% of the zoom travel, with a minimum aperture of f/2.8.

The lens was designed to work with three interchangeable rear cells for ‏1/3-in. three-chip, 1/3-in. single-chip and 2/3-in. single-chip sensors. The rear cells are customer-changeable.

The camera mount incorporates top-side and back-focus adjustment to facilitate setup.
