TWINSBURG, Ohio, July 8, 2014 — Three new miniature diffuse mode photoelectric sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs Inc. can detect transparent, low-contrast and irregularly shaped objects.
The ML100-8-W has an extra-large light spot to prevent false trips on heavily textured surfaces, and can detect transparent objects for use on conveyor routes for glass, module transportation or flat panel production.
The ML100-8-HW uses near-field and far-field elements to distinguish irregularly shaped objects from backgrounds without separate retro reflectors. The sensor can also detect flat objects or objects with low reflectivity in front of a close background, such as black rubber parts on conveyor belts.
The ML100-8-H-100 uses three light spots to detect non-uniform objects.
