TRENTON, N.J., June 18, 2015 — Princeton Optronics VCSEL-based line generatorPrinceton Optronics Inc. has announced a miniature line generator based on a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) with wavelengths in the 820- to 840-nm range.

The device has a 20-mW CW power output, a fan angle of 80°, line uniformity of 75 to 85 percent and a 1/e2 linewidth of 2.5 mm at a distance of 50 cm.

Applications include machine vision, consumer electronics and instrumentation.
