Tip- and Tilting Piezostage
piezosystem jena GmbHRequest Info
Using a laser beam for cell stimulation within biological applications is a delicate science. An important requirement is to hold the beam onto the cell but due to external vibrations and thermal effects, this can be a difficult achievement.
Operating in response to signals received from a system consisting of two piezo-driven mirrors and two position-sensitive, four-quadrant diodes, piezosystem jena’s mirror tipping and tilting piezostage PKS1 stabilizes laser positioning on the cell.
This piezostage adjusts the direction of the mirror in milliseconds with a frequency between 300 and 1000 Hz. For coarse adjustment, the tilting platform can be moved manually ±2°. Regulation of the controller uses frequencies up to 100 Hz.
