BostonMicromachines.jpgBoston Micromachines Corp. has introduced the Multi-DM controller for its proprietary deformable mirror. The device offers a more than 30-kHz frame rate and 14-bit resolution. According to the company, it provides a 50-fold improvement in speed and resolution over its predecessor, and its package was engineered to be five times smaller, making it easy to integrate into commercial imaging instruments. The controller enabled the company to integrate adaptive optics into its adaptive scanning optical microscope.
