Fixed Focus and Zoom UV Lens The Model 228 UV lens from Resolve Optics is a full-featured high-performance UV lens designed for forensic and fingerprinting, research, and industrial applications. The device’s waveband is 230 to 500 nm and optimized to operate at the UV region of 200 to 400 nm. The lens includes an extended magnification range that uses a telescopic focusing mount, which gives large movement in a compact form, and offers the capability to image objects from infinity down to 1:1.25 magnification without add-on adapters. Developed to enable remote viewing of a nuclear fuel assembly through 10 m of water, the lens was designed to operate between 10 °C and 55 °C (50 °F to 131 °F). Miniature motors were incorporated into the specific design to allow for accurate remote sensing of the zoom and focus functions.
