HARRIETSHAM, England, Oct. 24, 2014 — A new range of monochromatic light units from Knight Optical uses low-pressure sodium light sources to ensure a long operating life.

The monochromatic light units are available in standard, enhanced and floor versions. The effective monochromatic wavelength is sodium 5896A, and λ2 is 0.3 microns.

The devices are used for testing fringe patterns on the surface of optical flats.
