LeicaMicrosystems.jpgLeica Microsystems GmbH has unveiled the DFC360 FX monochrome digital camera for documentation of living cells, molecular processes and rapidly fading fluorescence specimens. It achieves maximum frame rates of 20 fps for full-frame imaging and up to 100 fps in binning mode and offers shutter speeds ranging from 4 μs to 10 min. The company says that the active Peltier cooling system minimizes the dark current and the image noise in low-light applications. The device works with PC and MAC systems.
