CILAS Monomorph Deformable MirrorsThe latest technological evolutions in CILAS Monomorph deformable mirrors meet the requirements of laser system, astronomy and space applications. Made of a piezoelectric plate and a coated polished glass, the Monomorph technology reduces the usual “print through effect” of common deformable mirrors. The pattern, spacing and number of actuators can be easily custom-made to optimize the correction and reach unequalled performances.

The significant rise of their frequency bandwidth correction (up to 1kHz) means they can ideally be used for astronomy telescopes and give a standard solution at an affordable price. We have recently provided The Institute for Solar Physics (ISP) for their solar telescope. Besides, CILAS currently develops, together with CNES and AIRBUS Defence and Space, a Monomorph deformable mirror qualified for space environment that will be in operation in 2016. Monomorph deformable mirrors remain the product sought after by high-power laser users to obtain the best laser focus and optical optimization.
